The Workforce Incentive Program (WIP) supports health professionals to work in regional, rural and remote areas, alongside supporting general practices to provide multidisciplinary team-based care through a number of incentives.

What is WIP?

Services Australia assists in the administration and provision of Workforce Incentive Program payments. WIP consists of 3 streams to support health professionals and general practices to deliver a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. These streams are the Practice Stream, Doctor Stream and Rural Advanced Skill Stream.
