Scam calls targeting General Practice

It has recently come to our attention there have been a number of reports of impersonation attempts. The actors are pretending to be from the Australian Digital Health Agency, and are mainly targeting Practice Managers.

In the event ADHA contacts you, please be aware the agency would never ask providers or consumers to share personal information over the phone.

If you receive a suspicious phone call:  Do not provide any personal information

Tips to Keep You Safe
Always check the phone number of a call or SMS, even if the name suggests you may know the person or the content may be familiar
Never share personal information
Never share credentials
If it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t
Hang up and phone the organisation directly
