Primary health care providers have a vital role in identifying and supporting people subjected to Family Violence (FV). Recognising this, WVPHN is offering grants of $2000 to general practices to participate in a practice-wide training program – the A-LIVES Training and Support package.
The program has been developed to give practice staff, from receptionists to GPs and nurses, the skills and confidence to support victims of family and domestic violence.
The grant is very easy to apply for, and the training requires a minimum time commitment of five hours from each practice.
