Supporting timely access to abortion care - online module

Access free online training, suitable for HPs, nurses nurse practitioners, pharmacists and social workers.  This short online course provides foundation knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive best practice early medical abortion care and has been developed by the Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinical Champion Project, based at The Royal Women’s Hospital in collaboration with Gateway Health, Bendigo Community Health Services and Gippsland Lakes Complete Health.

Led by the SPHERE NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Sexual and Reproductive Health for Women in Primary Care, the ORIENT study is implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of a collaborative nurse-led model of care in general practice that aims to increase access to long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) and early medical abortion (EMA) for women living in regional and rural Australia.
