Workforce Development – Project ECHO – Women & Childrens Health

Home > Workforce Development – Project ECHO – Women & Childrens Health

In 2023, our series focused on the reproductive health of women, as a priority population. This topic was selected in the policy context of the Victorian women’s sexual and reproductive health plan 2022-2030, the National Women’s Health Strategy 2020-2030 and the recent announcements of federal and state funding for persistent pelvic pain clinics across our region.

Series planning began with a review of our regions data and insights, an evidence synthesis and stakeholder discussions and review of implementation and research plans for our region. Three areas of focus emerged as local issues: Cervical Screening, Persistent Pelvic Pain and access to Early Medical Abortion. Through a series of educational sessions (ECHO labs) and stakeholder meetings (design labs) we developed a suite of projects to support the primary care workforce with improvement activities.
