Recommended strategies for Quality Improvement Projects for the Prevention of and Management of Wounds in General Practice will be developed in line with the recommended reading Australian Standards for Wound Prevention and Management 4th 2023, which can be viewed here.
It is acknowledged that two of the most common wounds in General Practice Venous and Foot ulcers associated with diabetes are also preventable. It is with this in mind that QI initiatives could focus on prevention, early detection and prompt referral and management.
